Softie Sew-In for Wildlife with Erica Bates
10.00AM-3.00PM – Saturday 3 October 2020

Habitat has been destroyed across the country with countless loss of animal life and injuries. Groups are rallying to plant trees for habitat and to care for and support injured and threatened wildlife.
We’re responding to the call for donations of handmade items featuring our iconic Aussie animals, by making soft toys to be sold by groups to raise funds to keep their good work going.

The softies made on Saturday October 4th will be sold to benefit local wildlife care group Scenic Rim Wildlife Rescue INC.

This is a community event for sewers and non-sewers to be involved.
If you can bring a sewing machine along that would be great, but there will also be hand sewing needed and instruction given for first time sewers too.
Other jobs needed will include drawing around patterns, choosing fabric combinations, cutting out, pinning, turning softies inside out after being machine sewn, stuffing, and embroidering. Instruction will be provided🌸

Tasks for young and old, every gender and every creative skill level. Children are most welcome under adult supervision😁
