Transforming Textiles to Toys with Erica Bates

Erica is a textile artist, with a background in fashion and active sportswear. Using the knowledge accrued from a career in fashion design, Erica creates dolls, creatures, as well as her up cycled clothing range and accessories. She loves to introduce children to the fun of creating with textiles and is a sustainable fashion and mending advocate.

DURATION: SUNDAY. NB: This is a drop-in workshop allowing children to join in at any time throughout the day

PRICE: FREE + $5 MATERIALS FEE

DETAILS: Children will work with fabrics and yarn to create soft sculpture animals, people and shapes to take home as a unique memory of Arts Ablaze. This workshop is suitable for boys and girls with a variety of different creatures to make. Parents are welcome to help younger kidlings join in the fun also!
