About Us

BADCAP is a not-for-profit volunteer organisation that works with communities in the Scenic Rim to develop public arts projects providing arts experiences to the community and visitors of the Scenic Rim region. We are based at Stationmaster House, 100 Brisbane St, Beaudesert 4285.

BADCAP acknowledges the first peoples of the Scenic Rim, the Yugambeh and Ugurapul people and celebrate their culture that enriches our experience of their country.

BADCAP’s goals are:

  • To support and promote community arts
  • To promote the benefits of art in the community to improve the quality of life of residents
  • To bring the community together to work on community art projects
  • To recognise the skills and support development of local artists through, training, workshops and showcasing their talents through public art and events.

These art experiences have included:

Our regular monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of the month which keeps members in touch with activities and ensure the smooth planning and operation of projects.

Monthly ‘Creative Gatherings’ @ Stationmaster House Beaudesert 10am-2pm the last Saturday of each month ( except December).

BADCAP was formed in 2005 and was certified as Beaudesert and District Community Arts Project Association Incorporated in 2006 (Certificate IA34399).     I am interested in your blacksmithing for the day but in January 2021,will they still be going then?

      Hi Lindsey – We have not yet planned our workshops in 2021. You will be please to hear BADCAP is planning to equip ourselves with more of the key equipment to make easier to host regular blacksmithing workshops. Please use the Contact Us form to go our our email list for news on workshop.
