About Us

BADCAP is a not-for-profit volunteer organisation that works with communities in the Scenic Rim to develop public arts projects providing arts experiences to the community and visitors of the Scenic Rim region. We are based at Stationmaster House, 100 Brisbane St, Beaudesert 4285.

BADCAP acknowledges the first peoples of the Scenic Rim, the Yugambeh and Ugurapul people and celebrate their culture that enriches our experience of their country.

BADCAP’s goals are:

• To support and promote community arts
• To promote the benefits of art in the community to improve the quality of life of residents
• To bring the community together to work on community art projects
• To recognise the skills and support development of local artists through, training, workshops and showcasing their talents through public art and events.

These art experiences have included:

• Mothers Day Weekend Workshops ( from 2023)
• Annual Christmas Makers Market @ Stationmaster House Beaudesert
• The Arts in the Olives Festival (2008-2017 & 2022)
• The ASSI 150 – Townsvale Wayfinder
• The Wyaralong Sculpture Symposiumand creation of the permanent Lake Wyaralong Sculpture Park
• The 2008 Sculpture for an Ancient Land – International Sculpture Symposiumresulting in 8 sculptures installed across the Scenic Rim and Logan City

Our regular monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of the month which keeps members in touch with activities and ensure the smooth planning and operation of projects.

Monthly ‘Creative Gatherings’ @ Stationmaster House Beaudesert 10am-2pm the last Saturday of each month ( except December).
